More Fashion Help
It's March in Wisconsin, which means that the new spring and summer lines are coming out.
It also means that it's still approximately 1,000,000 below zero.
I need a new dress for a wedding this weekend, and all I can find are sleeveless or strapless. Anything with sleeves that I've seen looks like it was made for my 80-year-old grandmother.
Anybody seen anything cute around? If worst came to worst I could always just get a new top to match with a skirt, but I have money to blow and want a new dress

What about a cute dress and a jacket? I know around here they've got lots of cute spring jackets out now. That would at least cover your arms and give you two pieces you can pair with other things.
(I'm not cool enough to go find pics on the internet, though. Sorry!)

There's a really cute jacket at Banana Republic right now..it's yellow houndstooth. They were showing it yesterday on the Today Show with a skirt of some kind...I can't remember.

Even a cute little cardigan would work

Or a nice wrap/shawl, that might be a little more dressy.
Granted, you won't get as much wear out of it as you would a cardigan, though. . .

What about a little Jackie-O type suit? You can always use a suit.
PS. The ones with knee-length skirts are best, because you can wear just about any kind of shoe with them.

I like the idea of a suit as well.

I also like the idea of a suit.
Quick question ladies, is a black dress with red trim with spagetti straps appropriate for a fairly informal evening wedding? sorry to hijack the thread

Oh, I'm so mad!
So I went shopping after work today, and I didn't find a damn thing. I found all these cute dresses online while I was at work, and then went to the mall...nothing. Everything was super-cheaply made... which is fine when I'm not looking to spend much money, but I was ready to lay down some $$$ for a really nice dress.
No idea what I'm going to wear tomorrow.....

If you are worried...dress it up. With jewelry and shoes that are dressier.

I have really cute silver strappy sandals that look great with it, and nice jewelry, but I was concerned about it being a black dress.
Ginger, I HATE when that happens-when I have money and am looking for something in particular I can never find it. Of course when I am poor as hell I can find tons of stuff that not only look cute on the hanger, but look cute on me(cause that happens so rarely) and of course I don't have the money to buy any of it!!
