Is anyone here apply to and planning to go to UIFI? Has anyone been to one in the past? I know Clarion is hoping to send some people, me possibly being one of them, since we haven't sent people in atleast the last 5 years from what I've been told. I'm just trying to find out what to expect and get out of it.

I was nominated t go by our Greek Advisor's, but had to decline due to summer classes, work, personal travelling, and my fraternity's national convention. Its going to be a busy summer.

I went to one of the very first sessions of UIFI waaay back in 1991! It was a great experience, and I got a scholarship from the Phi Sig Foundation to go. Last year I was able to get one of my IFC officers to go, and he really got a lot out of it too. Unfortunately, this year my IFC Exec are all going to be working and can't take time off! The other thing that sucks, is that I can't be a facilitator because the timing conflicts with the portion of my job running Freshman Orientation. If you get the chance, definitely go! You won't regret it.

Another cool thing you'll appreciate, I'm going to the re-chartering of Kappa Tetarton at SIU Carbondale this weekend. My chapter will be conducting the ritual!

BSU: Should I just call the foundation to inquire about getting a scholarship? b/c we're not listed on the NIC list for scholarships awarded.

I've talked to the district governer from my district, Bill Nuegbauer, about helping to re-charter IUP, since they're our big brother chater from what I've been told.

I would call the Foundation and ask if they would be willing to provide a scholarship. Even if they aren't listed, sometimes they will provide assistance for other programs.

Good news, The Phi Sigma Kappa Foundation is giving a full registration scholarship to UIFI. So I am going this summer. Just waiting to see which session I get placed in so I can ask off for work.
