Tommy Lee Reality show roomate

I heard from that Tommy Lee's roomate is a Delt. Is this true? And if so who? And when does the show air?

It is apparantely true, but I don't know any details about the show and when/where it will air.

It may be a fine show, but it's not something I'm interested in.

From my understanding, there was an audition for Lee's roommate. And on of our brothers was chosen. I believe the student is a 5th year senior who lives off campus in his own apartment.

I heard the Beta Tau men didn't know anything about it until after the selection, but they were none to happy at the announcement.

I'll probably watch it simply because the show, if it is selected to air, is in Nebraska and I will recognize so much. So far it seems Lee is behaving himself. He hasn't frequented the bars or any fraternity parties. From the newspaper reports he has turned down all invitations. He claims he wants to turn a new leaf and that he is over with the party life of his past.

He played drums at the Neb-Baylor game a couple weeks ago and even wore the marching band uniform. We'll see if he continues on this good path.

I may have to retract my earlier statement. I just spoke to a Delt brother of mine from UNK who is a cop here in Lincoln, and he claims there has been some shenanigans with Tommy Lee down at the bars on O St. Nothing major, but anything minor in Lincoln is usually major.

I will still probably watch it just to see how Nebraska is portrayed since UNL gave NBC complete control over what is put in the show. I have a feeling it's going to be like Paris Hilton's Simple Life show where they show us as rednecks.

I am a Beta Tau Alum from the pledge class of the roomate selected for the Tommy Lee show. He is an alumni of the chapter, not an active brother. I can assure you that the chapter has been nothing but supportive of their brother being selected for the show and has demonstrated awesome brotherhood and pride, NOT the negative view that Nebraska Delt portrays (perhaps Nebraska Delt is from the lesser known kearney chapter and wouldn't really know what the Beta Tau Delts from Lincoln think so don't take his word for it).

Any concerns that the International Fraternity had or currently does have can be put to rest knowing that this brother is one hell of a guy. He has his head on straight and is one hell of a delt, giving to the house and the university the 4 years as an active and continues to do so as an alum of the chapter. He is well known, respected, and liked on campus and is one of those guys that we wish we could all be (smart and a hell of a fun guy).

Being a close friend of his I have been around for the taping of the show. No trouble has been caused in lincoln (again Nebraska Delt's sources and facts are wrong) in fact they only went out 2 times the whole month and a half they shot and both times were low key. Any cop who is saying otherwise is making stuff up to look like their in the know (and trust me everyone has some "inside info" but 99.9% of it is B.S.). And as to the simple life comment: it's not the premise of the show...UNL will look like the ideal college with students people would kill to be friends with who are cool, fun, attractive, and intelligent. The city and campus will look fun and exciting, the joke is on Tommy, giving up all the pampers of Rock Star and taking a test he spent all night cramming for, eating crappy microwave college dinners, and not quite ajusting to the life that all of us college people live everyday (which to someone who has their own Starbucks in their house is very strange).
He hasn't told me when it airs, but when it does all of the naysayers will be eating their words and of course Delts everywhere will want to claim him as a brother, unfortunatly they choose to knock it now...is that really brotherhood?

No, thats not brotherhood, but neither is referring to your brothers at Theta Kappa as "lesser known." I thought that was quite rude. Surely you're not ignorant enough to actually believe that reality TV is real, are you? You are aware that they can make anyone or anything look "bad" based on a single off-color remark.
