Did I miss something??

http://www.hjgreek.com/index.cfm?eve...oduct_ID=12016

What the crap does this have to do with ASA (besides the ruby)?

I'm looking through the HJ site (prompted by the Badge thread), and I'm seeing all kinds of random junk in the "ASA Store". Does someone at HQ have to approve this stuff before HJ puts it there? And for those prices, I hope ASA is getting a cut of it...

ETA:

Found another one:

Did I miss the part of initiation where they talked about Aphrodite??

Pardon the crash.

As a Theta, I know that many of us are frustrated with the jewelry that HJ is putting out. They have changed our kite shape to a diamond for some unknown reason. With all due respect to ADPi, I don't want a diamond- I want a kite.

I am sorry to see that this is happening to ASA as well. How incredibly arrogant of them to think they can modify those symbols that mean so much to us, and then think that we will buy the crap that means nothing. A member of our executive council suggested that we contact HJ and voice our opinion. Perhaps members of your organization should as well.

ETA: Yeah, we have the aphrodite ring too. I guess they are trying to unload that crap on everyone.

They're trying to sell that aphrodite crap to us, too.

Crashing.

We also have that aphrodite ring.

And I don't know that much about dangles, but AST seems to have a ton of them on that site... some of which are for positions that I've never even heard of before. And I especially love the "Sportswear Representative", "Jeweler's Representative", and Star of David dangles.

Crashing as well.

Yeah the dangle thing is the same with us. Mind you we don't even use dangles. But most of the dangles were for positions I never heard of and some of them had symbols of ours that made no sense in context.

*crash* the Alumnae Dangle for Theta is an anchor. I love the DG anchor, but I do not see how it is a Theta advisor dangle, or a dangle for any other GLO other than DG. Defies logic, makes no sense. blech!

HJ, pay attention, and re-visit your marketing/design team concepts. Here's an idea: talk to the GLO members and you might get some idea of what we will buy.

We have the same "Edwardian" necklace (as well as the ring) in addition to the "Open Heart"/Aphrodite ring. This is another one that I have no idea has to do with AOII. . . .

Hey! It could be a dangle for AST, too!

Felt like adding this, but one of the dangles they have for us is a WTF. They actually have a dangle listed for Rho Chis. They do realize that we are a fraternity don't they?

Ugh, yes it's so annoying! Before I started the badge thread I went to the website to poke around and was really shocked. I mean, it's kind of nice that most orgs are on One site now- I love looking at badges. But the "extras" seem so generic and useless. It's like the eBay sellers who call something sorority related because it has one of the org's colors on it. I hope the quality of the badges didn't change.

Funny you guys brought this up, because the Aphrodite ring and Edwardian amythest ring are listed under our items as well.

Generally speaking, I'm pretty pleased with all of our other HJ accessories and extras though.

Obviously we all need to revise our rituals and traditions to work in Aphrodite and the other hjgreek items, because they know what's up and we certainly don't.
