Same advice I'd give to any job seeker: do your research, then polish your resume so that you really stand out in a crowd of highly qualified candidates. Talk to someone who has been a traveling consultant and find out what the job really entails. Excellent communications, problem solving, time management and organizational skills would all be very important. Then maybe take some extra training in public speaking, customer service and salesmanship or other skills that might help you to stand out!
