Opera Attire

What do I wear to the opera? I am going to a Sunday matinee at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.

Since you're going to a matinee that also isn't an opening, I wouldn't worry about dressing too formally. Wear what you'd normally wear to a live theatre production (for me, it usually means a nice top (usually a twin set or pullover sweater), knee length skirt and heels).
