Please Advise Re: ICS
The "greek life professionals" on my campus are pressuring the fraternities to go to formal rush and employ the services of Interactive Collegiate Solutions (ICS). I've been to their website and seen many glowing testamonials from sororities, but nothing directly from fraternities. This program involves potential rushees signing up on-line and paying a fee in order to go through rush. Fraternities here have large pledge classes and open rush works well. The "greek life professionals" are all fussy about the fraternities making the use this product. Of course they deny that presure is applied ("Oh, the IFC themselves voted to do it."). But privately the undergrads are against it, and are afraid to say anything so they have approached the alumni for help.
Formal rush works fine for sororities, but filling out registration forms and paying fees to go through rush doesn't really appeal to men.
Does anyone have any insight they would offer on this company, or on men's formal rush where registration and fees are required?
Thank you!
