I am looking to anticipate some common questions and have some positive responses for them. The way I usually respond to the house question is somehting oalong the lines of, "No, we do not have a house right now, nor do any other orgs on campus. We have plans in the future to obtain a house. Also, with the housing crunch in San Francisco, it is much easier and cheaper to find a place when you live with brothers which happens all the time."

I feel that when guys ask these kinds of questions, often people lie or get REALLY defensive. It's best to be honest.
"No. We don't have a house. It would actually be something we'd like to have, and, maybe, perhaps in time. In no way does not having a house stop us from doing really well. We still hold parties, exchanges, etc. and a lot of the brothers have chosen to live together in apartments."
Don't just go on about the reasons why you don't have something (like the house) but talk about the positives. And don't talk to people like you've got responses prepared. Get them involved in the conversation. Ask if they were interested in a house. I guarantee a lot of those guys will tell you they DON'T want a house because they'd be forced to live there.
