Wear your badge: March 4, 2002

March 4, 2002 is Panhellenic Badge Day. Show everyone how great it is to be a member of an organization that supports you for life...or maybe that's Victoria's Secret...just kidding. Anyway, dress up and wear your pin proudly!

I'm so glad everyone's reminding me to wear my badge. I just got an email from my former chapter advisor. Too bad I can't find my badge... I'll try to see if she'll let me borrow one from her eBay collection!

Panhellenic of Hawaii is hosting a luncheon at a country club on NPC Badge Day..and I can't wait!

Alums -- Remind your friends and sisters!

I am SOOOO glad that someone posted a reminder about NPH badge day! I ALWAYS send an email out to all of my friends, sisters, collegues, ect who I know were a member of a GLO and remind them about Panhellenic Badge Day -- AND I wear my pin proudly to work! I always get lots of questions about it and I am very proud to talk about my ongoing involvement with my fraternity and what it continues to mean to me. I wear my pin on my scrubs -- so no excuses that your pin looks silly on whatever you wear to work!!!
I encourage all of you to wear your pin and to remind other greek women in your life about this! Even if they choose not to participate, it at least makes all of us take a moment to think about our GLO's and how lucky we are to have had this wonderful experience. What a great way to show our ongoing support for greek life...

I'll wear my badge on Monday and I'll send a reminder to my chapter! I hope that they wear their badges, too.

Who cares if you're on Spring Break? If you're at work, an alumna, if you're on vacation, if you're just sitting at home, going to the grocery store, wherever you are and whatever you're doing.....Wear Your Badge.

I'm an alumna, and may not even go anywhere on Monday, but I'll be dressed up and wearing my badge and I know all of my friends and sisters will be as well.

So, if you're on Spring Break? Wear your badge...who knows if you may be out shopping and run into another Greek.

Ever Forward

Why don't the NIC fraternities ever do something like this? I think it's a cool idea!

I think it would be cool if you all wore your badges in respect to NPC. What a nice idea, and I think it would be cool if NIC did this too. Why don't you contact someone at NIC and suggest it? Go to their website at nicindy.org

It should be stressed that not only is it International Badge Day, which occurs every year. But this year it is even more special because it is also NPC's 100th Birthday. Just more reason to sport the badge even if you cant get dressed up.
So to all the sorority hatin' people out there, who have tried to tear the system down, as P. Diddy says.....

"We ain't, goin' nowhere. We ain't..goin' nowhere. We cant be stopped now. Cuz its NPC for LIFE!"

Cheesy maybe. But my sucky day turned into a really good one.

Well yesterday I was at lunch with some sisters and a girl from another GLO had on her pin with jeans and a tanktop..hmm.. Well anyways, yea i'm excited to see all the badges monday =)

I wish I had known about this before! I will let all my siters know that it is National Pin day. Of course, Mondays are our "formal with pin" days anyway, but I think it would be neat if they knew about this, too!

Badge Attire

Yes, you are only suppose to wear your badge when you are dressed up.

Honestly, it can be so hard to get some people to wear their badge on their own, without it having to be a chapter meeting or some sort of requirement, that if I saw a girl wearing jeans, a tank and her badge on her own time, I'd be trilled. I have a job wear you dont get dressed up cuz your dealing with kids, but Im still going to wear my badge on Monday even If I cant get to dressed up b/c of my job. I think theres always an exception to the rule and Monday would be it.

I think there should be a day when ALL greeks (NPC, NIC, NPHC, MCGLO, MGLO, Locals, etc) wear their badges to show Greek unity.

Well, if you see any Phi Mu's wearing their badges, congratulate them on 150 YEARS of sisterhood. Monday is our founder's day!

As a member of a PFA org, I second that!
