Is it looked down upon...

Hypothetically speaking, if someone goes to an informational, submitts an application, gets accepted formally, but then decides to decline membership because of personal reasons, and then five years later decides to want to join a grad chapter of a different organization how is that looked upon, is it unacceptable? Would you as a member accept a prospective member, if he or she tried to join a another sorority(other than your own) during undergrad, but then wanted to join your grad chapter after some time has passed?

RAVA: Not a big coincidence. A coincidence!
ELAINE: No, that's a big coincidence.
RAVA: That's what a coincidence is! There are no small coincidences and big coincidences!
ELAINE: No, there are degrees of coincidences.
RAVA: No, there are only coincidences! ..Ask anyone! (Enraged, she asks everone in the elevator) Are there big coincidences and small coincidences, or just coincidences? (Silent) ..Well?! Well?!..

My sistergreeks are funny!

The hypothetical situation really has occurred in reality [Disclaimer: not involving one of my sorors], and as LadyGreek said, acceptance/reactions depend on the individuals. The official acceptance (not just interest...wow) would probably be a big game changer for those who know about it, but there may be some who are more understanding. OK, more like a handful, but it could happen.

I'd be sisterly in that situation, but there would be some side-eye action from o
