Old Mascot?

I don't know if you guys can answer this over the message board, but I was wondering if anyone knew about an old mascot. I heard that there was something before the official poodle mascot...that it was a swan. Does anyone know about that?

I am not a Sigma Woman, but I am a very dedicated Sisterfriend. I feel that this question could cause some distress and that the information you are asking is a member info thing. Is it important for you to know as a non-member? Will it benefit the sorority by providing you with such information? Or will it just be the spread of rumors?

Sigma Gamma Rho is a high quality organization and such topics I feel should be discussed on a membership basis ONLY!!!

Please be informed that Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated has officially and nationally recognized ONE mascot since its inception in 1922. It isn't the Swan.
