Every time I think of Hoppper, I think of his role in Blue Velvet. It was so bizarre. RIP.

I told my friend this and he had no idea who Hopper was. Though to be fair he didn't know who Art Linkletter was either .

That's really sad. "Easy Rider," "Blue Velvet," "Hoosiers," "Apocalypse Now," smaller roles in "Cool Hand Luke" and "True Grit." He really had a hand in so many great movies.

Dennis Hopper is/was awesome. We were watching him in "Rebel Without a Cause" a few weeks ago.
He died of prostate cancer, which is usually very treatable when found in its early stages.
