just wondering if anyone has any updates and/or stories to share? isn't recruitment happening right now??

Conversation Days were yesterday and today. Tomorrow and Tuesday are house tours. Wednesday is slide show. Thursday is pref and Friday is bid night. The schedule is different this year. I think there are almost 1200 girls rushing. I visited my daughter's house on Friday for parent preview day. My daughter was already exhausted!

I heard from a usually reliable source that the houses are only extending a certain number of bids (a la bed rush). I thought to the best of my knowledge, that USC operated under standard RFM. I'm pretty sure I got bad information, but can anyone else confirm/deny?

ETA: It has been confirmed a rumor, to anyone lurking- please don't believe the above!

That is a rumor.

Number registered was 1135 for August 2014. Ten chapters are participating in formal recruitment.

Last year NPC Panhellenic welcomed the return of Alpha Gamma Delta.

The number of women registered for NPC Panhellenic recruitment broke a record this year. It was announced 1135 potential members will participate in the recruitment process. Last year slightly over a thousand were registered. The university student body is highly diverse and international.

The Greek system at S.C. is over 100 years old. Alpha Chi Omega was established there in 1895. Sorority chapter houses as well as fraternity chapter houses can be found mainly on 28th Street.

Thursday is Preference with parties beginning at 5:00. Bid Day is Friday with celebrations at individual chapter houses starting at 4:00.

A change this year is the party schedule. Ten chapters are participating in formal recruitment. Last year the ending party schedule was 4 to 2. In 2014 it is 5 to 2. I am wondering how this will work out for potential new members who may be attending parties at half the chapters and then be cut down to 2 for preference.

Bid Day is tomorrow!

Panhellenic has not posted numbers at this time. I was told all chapters made quota or above.
