Alpha Xi Delta: Epsilon Xi Chapter History (PLEASE HELP!)

I have been the Ritual Chair for for three semesters now and I am the new Fraternity Heritage chair for my chapter, Epsilon Xi, of Alpha Xi Delta. I am looking for anything that anyone might know about the history of my chapter. Much of our history has been lost . I have emailed Nationals but i'm sure that they are very busy. If you have any, would you please let me know. Thank you.

I don't know anything about Epsilon Xi, but I was the Fraternity Heritage Chair for '08-'09. I found it a bit difficult because 1) we were colony, so I hadn't seen a Fraternity Heritage Chair in action, and 2) because since we were a re-colonizing chapter, I didn't know where to look for history.

We had this event during Panhellenic Pride week where the library opened up some Greek archives (or something like that) for Greeks to go and look at. They had some old books that our chapter was included in, so I found some stuff there. So maybe try your library? Good luck!

Here's the short paragraph about Epsilon Xi chapter in the 100 year history:

Ruth Fowler Brown, National Collegiate Vice-President, presided at the installation of Epsilon Xi Chapter on January 27, 1968. The chapter, initially the local sorority Alpha Epsilon Omicron, was the first NPC group on campus.

The chapter, located on an urban commuter campus, enjoys many sisterhood events with St. Louis alumnae.

Pardon my crash...

Put a note in your school's next alumni bulletin asking for help from sisters. Also see if the alumni office has old yearbooks you can check out.

Ask your national/international office for a list of alumnae (an officer may already have one). Contact the ladies for help - there may be e-mail addresses that you can start with. Good luck!

Do you have a local alumnae chapter? Do you have access to InCircle? I believe that seniors and alumnae do. If you aren't a senior, I would suggest tracking down an alumnae that has access and can get in touch with "older" alumnae for that info.

ETA: I am an alumna member of Epsilon Nu...you chartered right after we did!
