Fundraising Ideas!!
Hey guys, what are some great fundraising ideas that we could do that incorporates an SAI theme? Anything that has been successful for ya'll in the past? Let me know
We auction ourselves off to faculty and students and the money goes to whatever philanthropy we decide. We also a rummage sale.
You could also do a play a thon where you raise money and then have a huge jam session out somewhere on campus, like on the quad or something. Another org I am in had a guitar jam on the quad and asked people to drop donations in our cases. We made an OK amount of money.
I think it would be a cool idea if you would advertise Singing Telegrams for a designated week (maybe Valentine's Day?) and you could have people buy a 2-minute singing telegram for 5 or 10 dollars. The only problems is being able to find people at certain times, and what song to sing them. But if you have a V-Day theme, you could have a couple of different love songs that they could pick from for you guys to perform. You also need to worry about having enough rehearsals and enough people available to perform the telegram.
Otherwise, you could sell roses (again on V-day?) for maybe $2 each on the sidewalks outside the student center. It would be a nice surprise for anyone!
