Questions About Joining a Fraternity at Ole Miss

1. Are they just looking at your personality or do they also look at what sports and other activities you’re involved in?

2. Is high school GPA taken into consideration?

3. If I am paying for college with loans can I not be in a fraternity or is there a way to pay the dues and other expenses with the loans?

4. Will my not being from the South have a noticeable effect on my chances of getting into a fraternity?

First, there is soooo much identifying information in your post. I suggest making it more anonymous.

Second, use the search function or google advanced to search for threads on this forum pertaining to Old Miss Fraternity recruitment. There are quite a few.

Third, some of your questions can be answered by visiting the IFC webpage, if an IFC fraternity is what you are thinking of joining. Here is the link

here is a good thread: http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...d.php?t=122519

I would not recommend paying your dues with loans unless it's comparable to paying for housing. Realize that you're going to have to pay those loans back and they can severely limit your lifestyle for the next 10-20 years following graduation.
