Lily Munster has Died

Yvonne de Carlo who played Moses' wife in the Ten Commandments and was best know for her role as Lily Munster in the 60's horror movie spoof, The Munsters, has died at the age of 84. Eddie Munster has now lost his mother, father and grandfather.

Alas, another fabric of our childhood for some ....and part of TVland for others...fades to black...

we lost our cartoon dude...Mr. Barbera last month,

the dude who helped many of us survive on college non money by creating cup of noodles...altho he did it to help the Japanese truely survive hunger after World War II...Mr. Momofuku...and he passed the same day he had a chicken variation of his noodles for lunch!!

we lost the creator of both Astro and Scooby Doo (named for the last line in Sinatra's Strangers in the Night song..."scooby dooby doo....." Mr. Iwan Takamoto

and now, the lovely and always charming wife and lady of the home on Mockingbird Lane...somber home of Lily and Herman Munster...Ms. Yvonne De Carlo..also known for her screen roles in the 40's and 50's but for us, she is a part of the Ten Commandments!

Whew....class acts that cannot and will not see their kind again!

so sad. and i just watched the ten commandments over christmas, too.
