5 Things I love about IOTA!!!

OK folks, in the spirit of what the LADIES of SGRho are doing on their forum....here is 5 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT IOTA.

1. Ten (out of twelve) Founding Fathers are still living to teach knowledge.

2. Our uniqueness to remain individuals and don't fit a stereotype.

3. We are approachable.

4. Our Sweetheart SISTERS are nationally recognized. (That's right baby, they are in the history books and oh so foine. Wait, I am not supposed to be lookin at my sister like that, my bad. LOL)

5. We are not set in stone, our history/mentality is constantly evovling.



OK, I know I said 5, but...
6. That brown and gold just looks good on a bruh and sistah.
(I am not gonna include vanity) LOL.

5 things? Dag, that's tough.

1. How the ideologies of our organization are heavily intertwined into the times in which it was founded (Civil Rights Movement - a revolutionary, progressive, and spirited time for our people, the US, and the world in general).

2. Having 10 of the 12 Founders (and Past Grand Polari) be still alive and willing to share the stories and ideology behind our founding. They are so approachable. We are truly blessed.

3. Our Shield. 'Nuff said.

4. "Building a Tradition, Not Resting Upon One!", "It Takes a Man!", "It only takes a few weeks to pledge, but it takes a LIFETIME to be a brother.", "OW! OW!"

5. Our commitment as a International Organization to bettering our community through our service, our ideologies, and through our special kinship to all mankind (not just our brothers & sweethearts). Although we could do better (as can all organizations), I like that we are making an impact and I pray that our influence and the potential difference that we can make will have reach across every continent one day.

I know I am not an IOTA, but I am crazy about the frat nonetheless and gotta give credit where it is due:

1: wherever i have met an IOTA man, he has ALWAYS shown me love up front, period.

2. the motto is BEAUTIFUL.

3. like Sigma women, the men of IOTA are truly DIVERSE-- they don't fit into any mold or stereotype and i admire the fact that the frat attracts different types of types.

4. just as I would say of my soRHOrs, it takes EVEN MORE HEART to rep for IOTA PHI THETA because you are building a tradition and not resting upon one... IOTA men rise to the occasion beautifully. i love that about you guys.

5. the centaur walk. i fall in love with the black man all over again after witnessing the centaur walk.

(i tell you, i swear i was a HEART in my past life...)

I love MY I-O-T-A because we keep on steppin and movin up!

My top 5 reasons:

1. Them colors.... need i say more?

2. That Centaur walk...yea thats another thread in itself

3. The owtlaw in every bruh i meet from coast to coast

4. The fact that you can never sleep on an Iota... you can never tell when a bruh is in your company

5. The fact that I am the me before, during, and after but with improvements along the journey!
