Raleigh also is partaking in the snow day! Nice to have an extra day to get caught up on things...now I just need to step away from the computer!

Hmmm...how come schools are off in the South but up here in Ohio where we really got hit hard, The University of Akron is still in session! I guess we just deal with snow more professionally! hahaha Many of the high schools and elementary schools were called off though!!

Yup, no school today. Although I was mad that UNCG held onto the 12:00 delay for SO long, even after GTCC, State, AND Carolina had already cancelled class. Also, I just tried to call work and there was no answer... so that's a stress-free day for me!

IU never, ever cancels classes. We could have had three feet of snow, everything else in the state closed, and we'd still have to go to class. And the University does not plow well at all. It made me unhappy when I went.

Because the people in the south don't know what to do when they get a little bit of snow. Places that are used to snow never get snow days...although we really should.

There is a blizzard warning in Ontario today, and where am I? At work!

Ummm actually it's because we have about 1.5 snow plows and we don't have things like snow tires. People in the South, in my experience, are actually more careful drivers in the snow because we're not used to it.

We've got a snow day here in Nebraska!!!

First time it's happened since I was a freshman. And it wasn't b/c of ice this time.

We've got about a foot and it's STILL snowing...this is like 36 hours of continuous snowfall.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic, I didn't mean to offend anyone from the south.

Only two to five inches in Denver overnight. Only slowed down the inbound commute. Nothing is closed.

Supposed to back into the high 50's by Wednesday or Thursday.

I have a friend from SC who told me that his county had two snow plows, for the whole county! That blew my mind since my town alone has at least 20 snow plows, if not more!

Dude yall suck this isn't fair. Columbia is covered in like an inch and half of thick thick ice and then snow on top of that, but Mizzou neeeeeeevvvveeer cancels classes. They did like 40 some odd years ago for a day and it was b/c of a blackout. So I had to trudge all the way downtown to my class (stupid psych building is so far away!) and then slip and slide all the way back to the sorority house. No fun, my face felt like it was frostbitten.
