What does your badge look like?
I've always loved seeing different badges. I saw the badge thread in the KKG forum and thought we should have our own.
My badge is silver with an emerald Phi. I love it.

My badge(s)
In addition to my badge ring, I have the exact same badge for wearing to alumnae events, etc. It is one I got off e-bay - love, love, love, those pearls!

My badge is gold with pearls covering all of the letters with diamond points.
I also own this badge from 1922. It was love at first sight. It's the older style in gold with engraved letters and a large diamond in the center. It also has a crest guard. This one will be donated to the museum upon my death.
What can I say? The diamond is my birthstone.
And this is my vintage gold and onyx crest ring.
It reminds me quite a bit of yours Belle!

*swoon* I LOVE it!! What an amazing badge!!
My badge that I just got a year ago is currently at Herff Jones being repaired (clasp broke). It is a plain silver, rose-engraved badge. I like it, but I got a plain one to save a bit.
Now, I'm very glad that I did, because I recently acquired this beauty:
It's white gold with all pearls from 1923. Unfortunately, the gold has turned a bit yellow, as white gold is wont to do. The pearls are attached with lead, so my jeweler tells me it's not safe to put rhodium on it to re-whiten the gold. But it's completely gorgeous, and I double checked with IH and it's not rare enough that they want it anytime soon. So, like homeward*bound's badge, it will be donated at a later date. I'm so excited to wear it for now!!

SWTXBelle have you had any problems with your badge ring? I've been seriously considering one, but I worry the black enamel will chip?
homeword*bound your 1922 badge is simply stunning and I love, love, love the crest guard.
pbear, white gold is my weakness. I would love if my badge was white gold, but unfortunately that wasn't an option. Your acquired badge is a true beauty.

When I ordered the badge ring, I didn't want to send in my badge, so I had my local jewleler attach it - BAD idea. That's why the enamel on my crescent is a bit smudged on the right - my mother let Herff-Jones do hers, and had NO problems. So if you do it, send in your badge and let them do it.
I wear it constantly and have had no problems with the enamel.

Pardon the crash, but pbear...your badge is lovely with the graduated pearls! I'm an AOII badge collector so I love unique badges. You ladies have found some beautiful ones!

I like all our badges, "fancy" or no. The simpler ones have a special charm, I think.

I don't have my badge yet (IH cashed my check so it should arrive soon, Yea!) The style I ordered is simmelar to momof4girls badge but with pearls in place of the emeralds.
I had the *hardest* time deciding what style to order; it was between the style I ordered in gold, vs. silver; and our two tone style. Before initiation I saw many silver badges and I was happy I had ordered the silver as I think it goes really well with the black enamel!
I was going to post an image of my crest ring: yellow gold, our crest on a split shank (found on ebay) but under posting rules it says I can't post attachments
P.S. I also love homeward*bound's badge!

I'm curious to know exactly what was said to you (and who said it) because they were not correct. Anything older than 1945 is considered historical for donation purposes.

My original badge does not take good pictures (some of you may have seen it) but it's no longer made and has pearls on the Gamma and Beta and (pink) sapphires on the Phi.
I have a second badge that is two tone gold/silver and I wear it on a necklace.

I'll PM you.
Just to clarify, since I guess I wasn't quite explicit enough in my first post - I will be donating the badge. I know that it's a historical badge, and no one told me otherwise. IH knows that I have the badge, and have given their blessing for me to wear it (for now).
And, well, I'll just leave it at that.
