Hello!!
Hi I am new here but have been reading through this forum for the past few months trying to gather information about AI. I am currently a college Senior and will be graduating in May from a college with no Greek system. Upon graduation I would like to pursue AI. I know that AI can be a long process, if I am even fortunate enough to have the process started, and am up for it. I also know there is not much for me to do at the moment other than research the various organizations, but I wanted to stop in and say hello!

Have you looked into Beta Sigma Phi or Epsilon Sigma Alpha?

Yes, I have; neither of those organizations have a chapter in my state.

Somewhere around here (I'm pretty sure it's stickied) is a giant list of all of the community-based sororites/orgs. That would probably be your best idea to start with.

With ESA, you can become an "at-large" member, so ESA doesn't have to be in your state for you to join.
But wherever your journey takes you, best of luck to you.

I guess you have to really do a lot of research and decide why you're pursuing this - what is it you're looking for out of being in a GLO and what is it you want to give back? If your focus is mainly on philanthropy, then a service org may be more up your alley. If you want more of a sisterhood PLUS philanthropy, then a social GLO may be more appropriate. From there, decide what values are important to you and research the orgs in the category you're pursuing and find one that matches up with those ideals and values. It's a long process to even decide which org, not to mention once you've decided. There are several AI's on here who can tell you the road ain't easy but it's always worth it. Best of luck to you!

Thank you However, I have decided to see where the AI process takes me - if anywhere. I know it will be long and difficult and that most people do not find their home, but I am willing to take that risk!
