Well, I don't really care if they have a specific gender or not, but I
believe with every fiber of my being that they exist! Since you brought it up, any close encounters of the "Angelic" kind?

I would imagine that to have genders, they'd have to have chromosomes. It seems unlikely that they would.

Arrow all male?

I imagine that Michael and Gabriel would have at least appeared as males to humans. I don't know (or really care) whether there are "male & female" or whatever.

But since we're on angels, and I've posted 2 other stories involving friends today....

When I was in college one of my sisters was casually dating this guy we'll call "Steve". They were getting along fine, and they would often visit each others' dorm room to chat. During one of these chats, the subject of angels came up. As it turns out, Steve and his mom both believe adamently in angels. Steve believes you have your very own guardian angel watching over and protecting you. (I do not mean in the hypothetical or metaphorical sense, I mean beings with wings and everything!!). Steve believed (and occassionally did this) you could WRITE LETTERS to your guardian angel.

My poor friend was totally freaked out by this. I mean, the guy was like 18 or 19 years old at the time, not 7. They eventually split up.

didn't you guys watch dogma? the male angels like loki and the seraphims did all the important stuff while the female angels stayed home and kept the place clean.

Lol! Sounds like something that would be said at the Playboy mansion.

I think angels are male and female. I think that when your family and friends die....they become your angels. And when its time for you to die, those friends or family members are sent to take you from this world into the afterlife...so you wont be scared

A woman I work with shared this story with me...and it brought me a lot of comfort. To think that my loved ones who have passed are looking after me and also when I die, my mom or dad would come to get me.

It would be easier to just ask an angel . . . If its impossible to ask an Angel during life or death, or angels don't exist, the point is moot. If it is possible to ask, then your answer is there. Why speculate?

I absolutely believe in angles and guardian angels. Maybe its a comforting thought to me, that a higher power has been assigned to get me thru my tough times, but I do get thru them...so who am I to say I didn't have some angelic help when I've asked for it?

I feel you Amycat412, but why do I get the feeling my Guardian Angel might believe in a little tough love?
LOL

That would explain a lot, the angel trying to look after both of us mischief seekers. Maybe that is why my formative years seemed more charmed, growing up outside LA which is closer to you. But this three thousand mile difference might be too much for the Angel now .

I should move back to California . . at least it would be warm
