Democrats hold onto Louisiana Senate Seat!

Yesss!!!!!!!!

I am so excited for Mary Landrieu. After weeks of prolonged campaigning, I am ecstatic to see it end in her favor. She is right when she said that partisan politics is poison for our country. Right on!

Also, I thought you might want to know that Senator Mary Landrieu is a Delta Gamma.

OK...I'm a diehard Republican but I'm honestly glad to see Landrieu win. For those of y'all not in Louisiana be very thankful you didn't have to sit through all of the mud slinging. Sad to say...most of it was coming from my party's own candidate. Terrell's commercials and campaigning really made me ashamed to call myself a Republican and that's something I hoped I would never say. I think that Landrieu will do a good job for the next 6 years. I don't always agree with her but I don't think she's done anything to really harm the state of Louisiana. She's on a bunch of big committees so it will be good that she can continue what she started for Louisiana.

TigerGirl-I agree with your post. The mudslinging WAS embarrassing!

I only have one major gripe with her (and it IS major). She supports late term abortions (call it what is-partial birth abortions).

I agree though, she will fight for La. I hope she fights for small business as well...

I'm glad this is OVER! I was soooooo sick of seeing all those negative ads every 2 seconds.

I voted for Landrieu (I'm an Independent), but Suzie Terrell did not impress me at all during those debates. This morning on Meet the Press, this commentator Bob Novak said it himself that Terrell didn't look good, nor was she a good candidate. IMO, she didn't have anything to offer. She brought the "big" people in....they should have stayed in Washington. I guess she's running for governor. One of her daughters (the one with the long hair) showed she was upset. I mean come on...you're on TV, put up a brave front. (I didn't like their commercial).

With this victory, maybe the Demos and Landrieu well get themselves together.

I absolutely hated the Terrell daughters ad. Hated it with a capital H. How absolutely cheesy can you get?
