Powell says Iraq may have never had WMDs
I know at this point it's neither here nor there seeing how we the USA has used our status as the world's biggest bully to invade and destablize another Middle Eastern nation. It appears however that Colin Powell's conscience has gotten the better of him as he admits that Iraq may never have had WMDs, to think that all the human lives and billions of dollars lost were based on a lie is mind boggling.

Actually, its not mind-boggling. Its par for the course. America was feeling its "John Wayne" and needed to pick a suitable fight.

Mind Boggling???
Not at all..."they" knew there were no WMD in Iraq. Like Doggystyle said they wanted their John Wayne to do something. Now we have all these lives lost and other than "the capture od Sadaam" we have nothing to show. We sure don't have the WMD which I thought was one of the reasons we began this war anyway...

Powell Says Iraq Arms Furor Getting on His Nerves
Updated 12:22 AM ET February 7, 2004
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Secretary of State Colin Powell Friday accused critics of politicizing the United States' failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and said it is getting on his nerves.
"Yeah, it does get on your nerves when you see people trying to use this for straightforward political purposes," Powell said in a television interview.
----
...bringing images of Ced the Entertainer's "Black President News Conference" to mind.
You knew Powell could only take so much before "the hood" surfaced. If the Sect. of State shows up for work next week sporting braids and Rocawear, folks would be advised to just let him go to his office and close the door for the day and leave him alone, Bush included.

Fluttering onto this thread
On Dateline a LONG time ago, there was a government official (now that I want to remember, I can't) who actually came onto the show and said that the U.S. knew they didn't have WMD. But, here's the kicker, the government believed that the American public would forgive the lie since they were going after "terrorists."
Perhaps the American government should start by disbanding its own terrorist training forces before they come down on another group...but that's just me!

I've read all over newspaper that it was an inteligence failiure and everybody got it wrong. I disagree, the UN Weapon Inspectors got it right from the beginning. I think the inquiry should includ Blix since he well set them all straight.

Not only does Iraq probably not have WMDs, the US is not telling us about our young men that are being sent back to the US after having been exposed to deadly biochemical warfare.
My LS and her boyfriend just buried a relative who was sent to Iraq less than two years ago. He contracted a rare form of cancer while there (apparently there are 30 soldiers in the US who have this) and has since passed away.
War is serious business and Baby Bush is making it seem like those folk don't have germ warfare when they really do.

Now I know @ this point the jig is up for the Bush admin .....yet another book has come out stating that Bush had plans to attack Iraq right after 911 even transferring funds earmarked for use against the taliban in order to invade Iraq. This president actions continues to amaze me........can one fool really be so blind that he can't see the harm of his foolishness. When Clinton lied at least no one died to bad we can't say that about Bush.

What do you all think about the "nerve gas" that was found yesterday? Do you think it is a WMD? or possibly "planted" because Bush may feel the wrath of everything that is going wrong?

Well we all know that Saddam had WMD's...that's never really been in question...the question was what happened to them...he claims he destroyed them all
I think no matter what is found...people will say it was planted by Bush..or its some type of conspiracy...people believe what they want to believe when its all said and done

AKA2D 91 I am saying it's possible, the timing does seem strange ..... all the news coming out of Iraq for the past month has be bad now a small amount of Sarin is found. Which by the way is not a true WMD by it's self.
LOVE_SPELL_6 I believe Bush is a wolf in sheep's clothing, he speaks of God but many of actions are evil, which could explain why Colin Powell is attempting to distance himself from Bush. This war was totally based on lies and deception and it's a shame so many young men & women have died b/c of one man's foolish ambitions.

Maybe not. However, there are some who will say "See, I told you there were WMD there!" Even if Sarin isn't classified as a WMD. It's a means of justification.

Well it's now Official.
A report has stated that the CIA made blunders in reporting to Bush that Iraq had WMDs......I quess placing total blame on the CIA is an attempt to take the blame off of Bush. I'm wondering will Bush attend the funeral of any fallen soldier and explain to the family that their Father,Son,Mother or daughter died b/c of blunders that happened under his administration's watch.
