There is all sorts of news from the 55th Delta Delta Delta biennial convention.
An important announcement was made concerning fundraising for St. Jude Hospital. Tri Delta had pledged to raise $15 million in 5 years toward the building and naming of a St. Jude Specialty Clinic at the famous hospital.
The pledge was made in 2010. Tri Delta had the pleasure of announcing $8.5 million dollars has been raised already!
For the first time collegian chapters earned $100,000 dollars or more. The top fundraising chapter was LSU with a sum of $126,000. That was the most ever raised by a Tri Delta college chapter. Three others reached or went over $100,000. They were: Univ. of Alabama, Univ. of Mississippi and University of South Carolina. Congratulations to these women for all their efforts to help the children at St. Jude Hospital.
