Texas State Fair

For the past 18 years since I have been in Texas, yesterday was my fist time ever at the Texas state fair. The worst part about it is that I live only 30 minutes away. Had a blast, but spent too much money. For food, I had a big bbq turkey leg, foot long hot dog, funnel cake, ice cream, corny dogs, and water. I spent a few bucks on games and crafts. I plan on going again next year. Hope everyone can make it to the Texas state fair at least once in their lifetime. Maybe we could even make it a greek chat gathering next year.

Sounds like a good destination to go to... need a good excuse to go there other than OU-vs-Texas weekend. You up in the Plano area? That's where I live.

I was up there for the OU-TX game on the 11th. The car show was pretty nice. Didn't really get to see much else. If they can renovate that Cotton Bowl Stadium, they could probably get more games there.

OU-TX weekend is just something special though.

ditto ditto on the texas state fair. you can eat way to much and, yes, spend too much money and still not do it all.
