I know there was a thread about the similarities of GSA and sororities, but someone mentioned Girl Scout Cookies in another thread and I thought I'd bring this up.
What's you favorite Girl Scout Cookie?
My little was is GSA through high school, and now that she teaches elementary school art, she and one of the student's mothers have started a troop. So last Wed. I get a call at work "So, did you want to buy some Girl Scout Cookies? 'Cause I have to turn the form in today." I was like "Thank god you called, I would have been ticked if I hadn't gotten any girl scout cookies!"
I got 3 kinds: Somas, Tag Alongs & Thin Mints.
To answer my question, Somaos are my favorite, but Tag Alongs a close second!
Does anyone know where they come up with the names of the cookies? My little showed me the "new" cookie, called "Ole Ole", which has macadamia nuts or something in it and powdered sugar coating. (I wouldn't have named it Ole Ole myself). And I've always wondered why tag alongs got that name?
I do know that the names, and even the available types of cookies, vary by region (so one of you might read this and say to yourself,
what the heck's a Somao?). Just an interesting fact. And I feel sorry for any of you who don't know the joy of girl scout somao cookies!
