Traditions

I went to a sectional and I was floored by something I had never heard before. But I could see this occuring at chapters that are so large. This coed-chapter has different "factions". That is different groups within the chapter itself. And to get in these different groups you have to pledge again. So if you wanted to be apart of two differnt groups you could conceivalbly pledge three times. It made me wonder what else may be out there. What traditions would you like to share with other chapters?

We have T.I.T.A and B.B.S.A within our chapter. It's not like you have to pledge or anything to join though. Its all in fun. Of course, the bruhs have that other thing that I won't mention online.

Why...what is that other thing? I'm sure it's not as bad as mine.

Mu Alpha Traditions (Georgetown)

1) Being the best chapter.

2) The International House of Pancakes (IHOP)

3) Numbering our Lines (Spring '99 is Line #87)

4) Line Paddles

5) Learning the Alma Mater and Fight Song.

6) Pledgelines

7) Family Trees going back to at least 1966

8) Diversity

My chapter continues to grow and has adopted other traditions in the past year or so. We began stepping a little while ago, once we got enough people; we picked up the tradition of staves from Kappa Psi, and we have done a better job at reaching out to other chapters in our area, especially Theta Chi at George Washington U. and the Interest Group at Howard University, to whom we are the Big Brother Chapter.

I am a turtle...I posted about it earlier on another thread.

For everyone out there, "Are you a turtle?"

(Only turtles know how to answer that)

Turtle

I'm not a turtle. . .that's not a big deal in my section. BUT, I think it's something I want to do. (My turtle friends may have told me too much about it!)

Ask one to be one, lol.
