ABC Family Greek

Anyone else notice the tons of Phi Mu "coincidences" on ABC family's Greek

pink (ok, it's a color- I'm not reading too much into it)

the fountain that Rebecca gets caught in by campus security is a quatrefoil

the grand national president of ZBZ's last name is Manning...President Fanning? hmmm
as I go in further into the season, i notice more things...

or maybe i'm just reading into it too much. but i think it's awesome

LIOB!!!

And their Coat of Arms has:

A 5-ponted crown - OMG Zeta!
Two Stars - OMG ADPi and Theta!

At the very best the writers may have browsed many organizations for ZBZ's symbols but I don't think any coincidences are intentional.

They film at UCLA and elsewhere in LA. I imagine the fountain is just coincidence -- what the location crew found. Something like the shape of a fountain isn't going to be written into a script unless it matters to the plot.

It's funny. I started watching Greek because it was on Hulu. I caught a lot of similarities to MANY sister hoods and brother hoods. But a good friend of mine is a Delta Chi and he and I laughed at all the similarities between ZBZ and us, and Omega Chi. However, it looks like they just borrowed from a lot of people but I wouldn't be surprised if a writer or set deisgner may be a Phi Lady.

I watch it with my sisters, and I know we have noticed a lot of odd coincidences between things unique to our sorority and things on the show (many of which would only be caught by members). I know one of the writers is an ADPi, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were purposely there. One of the producers is also a brother of a fraternity on my campus, and I know a few things from the show have been directly pulled from his experience here.

Did your Delta Chi friend tell you that Omega Chi may have been one of the names our founders considered before deciding upon Delta Chi? That always makes me lol.
