New Twists

Im looking for new ideas for my sorority's philanthropies. Maybe even just new twists on old events... Im trying to start something no one has done before. Our school isn't that big and we don't have a very big greek community either. Any ideas are welcome! Thanks so much!

I'm having an awful time coming up with new ideas for my alumnae association. It's funny that GCers talk about everything random all the time, but when someone asks something about philanthropy work it takes forever (if ever) to get a response.

What kind of stuff do you do now? I may be able to pass on some ideas from my undergrad days or perhaps can just help you brainstorm new ideas.

for the college chapter...
at LSU most chapters do a sporting event or picnic.
we sell tickets for the various picnics and hold panhellenic events to invite other chapters to attend our picnic.

you might be able to host a babysitting or kid camp night where alums or local parents could bring their kids over. if you dont have a house, perhaps a church would let you hold it in their rec room!

a pancake breakfast is always helpful. and selling tickets ahead of time is key (you cant wait for people to show up day of. sell the tickets and then let them forget to show lol)

good luck
