I just met a sister randomly!

I was taking my sister next door to our neighbor's pool party and there was a lady neighbor standing at my front door. I'm wearing letters and I go to help her because she has something for my father. She sees my letters and asks if I'm a Phi Mu and I'm like of course! So she tells me how she's a Phi Mu too. And to think I met this woman when she moved in ages ago (way before college and then before rushing this year) and I didn't know! And she lives across the street and one house over! AMAZING!

Cool

That's great... I'm an alum, and I still get super-excited whenever I see letters on cars (I'm pretty far away from any Phi Mus now, sadly) ... and if I see letters in public I always make a point to go up to the girl and introduce myself! They are usually as surprised and excited as me! Once I even left a note on the parked car when I discovered a Phi Mu sticker on the back (I was on vacation in a far-away town) just to say hello and LIOB!

When I was still an undergrad, I had two neat encounters. I worked as a student assistant in an office on campus and...
1) We got an awesome new employee. I just had this feeling about her! Come to find out, she was a graduate Phi Mu from another school that had just moved to town! When she told me, I had to laugh because I just somehow already knew without her even telling me! and...
2) One day, a lady came into my office to inquire about some things for her son, and she saw my lavalier and excitedly told me that she was a Phi Mu, too! (she had been one in the early 70s!) We struck up a conversation and talked for about 10 more minutes. Yes, The bond exists everywhere... it's something we all share in our hearts. So cool!

Hi girls!

Wow, it's been ages since I've been to this site!

But yeah, I saw a Phi Mu in the post office the other day. There was a sticker on one of the cars in the parking lot, so I walk in, and go up to the only other twenty-something in the room (she was wearing a pink shirt. of course.) and I'm like "Are you a Phi Mu?" And she's like "Yeah" And I was like "ME TOO!" and we chatted right there in the post office. I love meeting sisters randomly!

I was in Wal-Mart last night, and this girl who worked there yelled across the store: "ARE YOU A PHI MU???" Turns out she saw my letters and went to another college in my state and went Phi Mu, but ended up transferring and not going through initiation.

It was even weirder because NO ONE I went to high school with and very few people in my area are Greek.
