Cool Dream Colonizations/Recolonizations!

Courtesy of our Panhellenic Sisters, Alpha Phi!

So, where would you like to see Alpha Delta Pi either colonize, or recolonize (if we've been there before)?

I'm sure I'm not alone in wishing that our Alpha, Beta, and Gamma chapters would allow sororities again, so I'll start with:

1) Georgia Wesleyan College! (Recolonization of Alpha Chapter)

We did have a thread like this before...
http://greekchat.com/gcforums/showth...t=colonization

And I am going to stick with my original answer... Stanford... There are a lot of dedicated alum in the area, a wonderful RMDH, and it would be nice to have more then just the Psi chapter in the Bay Area...

I'll say Valpo- of course!
I think it would be wise to wait a few years on it though!

I'd say in Colorado, preferably in the greater Denver area. We have hundreds in the area, over 1000 in the state. We've had chapters at Univ of Colorado and Univ of Northern Colorado, but I wouldn't say we should recolonize there. Maybe the University of Denver...

My dream list...

Being the positive thinker I am () here is my dream list.

FYI: My dream is to have a chapter in every state, so keep that in mind.

Here are the chapters I want to Recolonize...

1. University of Colorado (Alpha Alpha) or University of Northern Colorado (Delta Chi)

2. Wesleyan College (Alpha): NO BRAINER HERE !!!!!!!

3. LSU (Omega) or Tulane (Epsilon)

4. Colby College (Alpha Delta) or University of Maine (Epsilon Sigma)

5. University of Minnesota (Alpha Rho)

6. University of Mississippi (Ole Miss Baby!!!!) (Delta Sigma)

7. University of Montana (Beta Xi)

8. Eastern New Mexico University (Delta Psi)

9. Syracuse University (Alpha Tau)

10. OSU (Alpha Xi) (They did close right?)

11. OSU (Alpha Omega) (OSU and ASU are in the PAC-10 together and I want our chapter back there)

12. University of Utah (Beta Gamma)

13. West Virginia University (Alpha Upsilon)

14. Lawrence College (Theta)

I told you I put a lot of thought into this. LOL.

Now the schools I want us to colonize at...

1. University of North Dakota
The school has 7 chapters (AXO, Alpha Phi, Tri Delt, DG, Gamma Phi, Theta and Pi Phi)
No alum association

2. University of Wyoming
The school has 3 chapters (Tri Delt, Pi Phi, Kappa)
No alum association

3. NYU
The school has 3 nationals (AEPhi, AST & Delta Phi) and 4 locals
NYC alum association

4. University of New Hampshire
The school has 5 chapters (AXO, APhi, KD, AXiD, ChiO)
No alum association

5. University of Alaska at Anchorage
The school has 3 chapters (Tri Sig, ASA, DST)
Anchorage alum association

6. Idaho State University
The school has 2 nationals (AXiD & Gamma Phi)
No alum association

I should just get a job working for ADPi and doing research to either colonize or recolonize chapters. That would be soooo cool!!!!

While you'll be "paid" in appreciation , you can always pass your ideas and offers of service to the Expansion Committee! They work throughout the year with the district teams researching expansion opportunities, presenting, etc.!

Hello ADPi friends (pardon my interruption)

Chi Omega is on this campus too!

UW Panhellenic chapters

I think I'm correct in saying this is the only 4 year college in the state.

Thanks sweetie.

Either the website isn't updated or I just missed Chi-O. Blonde moment.

<-- Will probably incur much wrath for saying this, but....

Isn't four years a long sentence to serve in Wyoming? (in a classroom, anyhow!)

Here's some unknown trivia about me....

My number one college before choosing where I did go was U of Wyoming!

It'd be great to have an ADPi chapter there (now having gone Greek, I'm curious as to which way I might have gone IF I did go to Wyoming...)

/hijack (I'll have to go back and think about this thread and my answer a little longer )

I'm not sure if I mentioned this in the last thread, but I would love for the chapter @ Texas A&M-Kingsville to recolonize. It was one of my college campuses I think when the chapter existed, the school was still called "Texas A&I". I can't remember the chapter name, but I think it was Epsilon-something?

From what I hear the greek system has been doing very well there in the past few years. They used to have all local sororities, but 2 of the 3 have "gone national" w/ NPC groups. I think the remaining local was looking at expanding as an NPC, and last I heard presentations were happening this last summer? I'm not sure what came of that though.

I'm not really sure how well "ground up" expansion would go at that school though... since all of the national NPCs started out there by absorbing the local groups. If we did recolonize there, I would definitely prefer ground-up expansion though (mainly b/c the remaining local - if they are still local - is ... special )

Polarpi, that IS an odd coincidence!

Where I'd like to see an ADPi chapter:

-Wake Forest (Recolonization; I forget the chapter designation)
-Ohio State (Recolonization; Alpha Xi)
-Washington & Lee (I was crushed when we presented & didn't get chosen )
-George Mason University (the more chapters near DC, the better!)
-Washington & Jefferson (home of FIJI, and only about 19 miles away from me)

One that I would like but is a total fantasy is William & Mary, as their Greek Life is fairly small. I almost went to school there, and I hate to think that I would have gone there and not have had the chance to be an ADPi!
