Animated Movies- not just for Kids
Movies like Shrek, Toy Story, Antz, and Monster's Inc have really changed animation. Now these movies seem to be just as entertaining for adults as they are for kids. Just wondered if other people out there like these movies? I find the subtle adult humor in them really funny, and let's be honest-- we all like a good cartoon, it keeps us young.
Saw the trailer for a new Pixar movie called Finding Nemo which looks to be just as good. The animation is AMAZING, really beautiful ocean scenes. Has anyone else heard about it?

I saw enjoyed Stuart Little and Stuart Little 2. I saw Stuart Little 2 in the movie theater... with all the little kiddies around me. I also saw Lilo and Stitch in the movie theater, but I didn't like it as much. However, my mom bought me the Stitch plush stuffed animal... he's very cute, and 2 of my sisters also have him too!

I can't wait to see Finding Nemo! Mostly because of those gnarly turtles.
One of my favorite animated movies is Titan A.E. It came out a couple years ago and is directed to slightly older kids (12-14ish). It's got some neat-o animation & actually a decent story.

I have 8 (yes, 8) neices and nephews, so I've grown quite attached to cartoon movies Plus, many of them have adult one-liners in them that they kiddies don't get, heh. e.i : Shrek

disneyholic here
Hi There,
I love animated movies and just kids movies in general. I am especially a huge Disney nut - just ask all my sisters. I have almost every Disney movie put out on either Video or DVD and am extremely happy they are bringing out a bunch of ones that either haven't been released in any format or in limited times.
Also, love the other movies such as Spirit, etc.
Just call me a big kid,
Carolyn

I love animated movies (and TV shows--I'm addicted to Disney Channel)!! I have a combination of 8 nieces/nephews/cousins/godchildren/etc.........so I have to watch them sometimes, but I really don't mind. Finding Nemo looks like it may be pretty good too. I love it in the preview where the turtle goes: "He was like dude, and I was like dude, and he was like duude." And the fish was like : "He's trying to talk to me--I know it!!"

Good to know I am not alone. I'm really excited for Nemo to come out (end of May). It looks really funny (the turtle part is hilarious) and the animation is incredible. Pixar is definitely the king of these animated movies that appeal to just about everyone.
There is something about the excitment right before seeing an animated movie that makes me feel like a little kid, when you just know that what you are about to see will be amazing.

Maybe it's just because I am a science dork, but I really love the movie Osmosis Jones. I think it's wonderful that science and how the body works was incorporated into a children's movie. If you haven't seen it, and you want a good laugh, check it out. You'll love the part when the germs are at The Zit (a danceclub) and it gets "busted!"

Spirited Away was AMAZING- and this is coming from someone who hates anime. The movie is so detailed, and it's such a great story.
I also enjoyed Shrek. It's so witty that I really think adults get more out of it than kids.

I'm lucky in that I go to a shool that has a film and anamation departments 3-D & 2-D. So they show films in the lobby everyday including the weekend.
Fantasia 2000
Ice Age
Osmosis Jones
the one about the boy and the giant robot set in the 1950's
Monsters Inc.
Shrek
and a few others I can't think of at the moment.
I haven't seen the trailer for the new movie but will keep a look out for it.
The current cartoons I love to wtach are:
South Park
Daria (it's over but the re-runs are showing on The N.)
PowerPuff Girls
Justice League
SpongeBob Square pants
re-runs of Ren And Stimpy
re-runs of Pinky and the Brain
re-runs of Anamainiacs
Edited to add:
Wallace and Gromit

For all you Sherk fans, there's a sequel coming out June 2004. I love Sherk and every time it comes on, I drop whatever and watch it
