Child Porn & peer-to-peer sharing network -- MN State U Fraternity House

A member of a Minnesota State U fraternity has been arrested for – allegedly – possession and distribution of child pornography. Unfortunately, the child porn was found on his computer in the fraternity house.

I hate when people post articles like this! It's so irrelevant to the Greek community. The guy being in a fraternity has nothing to do with him being a pedophile, actually most unsolved serial rape/ killings are statistically said to be well educated, charismatic white men, BUT still his personal issues are human sins. There is too much weight put into titles. An education and the organization you were in doesn't make you a good person. I'm just tired of new articles that bring up status. It should say a male, 21 blah blah was found with child porn. As I'm starting my externship so many patients justify their drinking or drug use with their significant last name or being a lawyer. I asked one man, a repeat DUI offender, why he believes he should not have to stay in rehab. His reply, "I'm a ______". My reply was ohh so the very people you help on a daily basis are just dumb and poor so they should be punished but not you. This world is just all Lindsey Lohan these days.

You're right - it has nothing to do with him being in a fraternity, but in this case, it makes perfect sense to mention it. They traced the porn back to an internet address used by the fraternity, and fraternity members were questioned until they found the man they were looking for.

What would you have preferred? ... "We traced the address back to.. some place.. and some dudes were questioned.. and we found our man."?
