Hey Randy or Quala do either of you know the status on Belmont University? IG or PG. One of the brothers from my chapter is supposed to be helping them with their charter and he has asked me to help, but he doesnt know where they stand (weird...i know). So now I'm trying to get info. THanks

I haven't gotten any extension reports so far this fall, but Judy Mitchell said she would try to get the next one to me. I'm not officially on any membership/extension related committee, so I get them when I ask (sometimes).

Only thing I can do is verify that *something* exists at the Belmont website and that is at http://www.belmont.edu/organizations/dept.cfm?idno=160 . (not a bad description, makes me want to join. )

Quala is region III extension chair, so she will have the most recent.

The best source for such information is the SC/RD for that area. They should know the current status and be able to connect you to the sponsor.

Thanks for your responses. The problem is I know the sponsor. He's one of my chapter brothers and he has asked me to help him with the Belmont group...only he doesn't really know where they stand. I had a meeting with him and the students from Belmont (there were only 2) it is clear that there needs to be some direction there. I don't have the time to commit to this project and i think he's lacking the direction. Someone needs to take over the sponsorship. I will talk to my RD for more info. Thanks again.

Got the Extension detail report a week or so ago, but never replied to this. Sorry.

Belmont University is an Interest Group. Their IG application was received back in May of 2004. Last note says that 9/23/05, that a Guide was Malcom Thorton, their new Sponsor. The student contact is Shavonne Marshall. The Extension guide gives an email address, let me know if you want that sent privately.

The effort at Belmont is currently active. The Section Chair has met with the sponsor once and talked with him on the phone a couple of times over the past month.
