Has anyone ever heard of having your non-greek boyfriend lavalier you with your own letters?
Thanks

In my chapter, each girl has their own lavalier (given to them by their bigs). Do other chapters not do this?

Yes that's how my chapter women get their lavaliers, but I'm pretty sure she was talking about when a fraternity man "Lavaliers" you in the sense of a promise ring.

Back to the original question: I've never heard of this. I guess it could work, but I'd personally think it was odd. The whole premise behind a guy in a fraternity giving you a lavalier is for it to symbolize the same bond of a promise ring, but share that Greek bond. If a guy wasn't in a fraternity, thus having no lavalier, I don't see why he wouldn't just buy you a promise ring.

I know, but I don't get the point of a non-fraternity man lavaliering with your letters if you already have your sorority's lavalier.

I don't understand why a guy would do that either, but hey, to each their own
