I definitely agree with my soror. I haven't reactivated any chapters but I chartered mine, and it's so worth it!

I remember a group of young ladies who tried to reactivate that chapter about a year or two ago but it kinda fizzled out. Have you all been in contact with the Membership Director yet?

I am one of the girls that tried to reactivate almost two years ago. It was a very triumphant time. So many troubles occurred and friendships was lost. This time around we a better and stronger group of girls with the common goal. We are so determined to get this chapter reactivated. Yes we have talked with the membership director.

I apologize for horning in.....
I see that Jacksonville State is not an HBCU, but it appears to have a campus life which is more HBCU-like than other PWIs. Is this an accurate assessment? (I noticed that the entire student government e-board is black)
Anyway.... seems to me like maybe, just maybe (I really have no idea) that getting freshmen may be the key to expanding. I'm working with an APO Petitioning Group which is also having an issue with recruitment and I think it's because they're all upperclassmen and most all NPHC members. If we get a good five freshmen, we'll be set.

Yeah you are correct our campus life is like a HBCU. Thanks for your insight and I hope the APO Petitioning Group much luck on recruitment also. Others please feel free to join the conversation your input is greatly needed....

As a charter member of the most recent chapter in GSS, I wish you the best of luck. It will be hard, but worth it in the end!
