Convention 2021?
Is your organization having a convention/conclave during 2021? If so, will the convention be in-person or virtual?
Phi Kappa Tau announced we are having our 64th Convention at our founding place, Miami University, on July 23-25. It will be BOTH in-person (limited capacity) and virtual. Our 64th Convention was cancelled last year due to COVID-19.
Going forward, our conventions will be on odd numbered years (65th Convention will be in 2023)

Alpha Phi Omega is planning on having a full inperson convention December 27-30 in Phoenix at the same hotel where the 2020 convention was supposed to be. The 2020 convention went virtual, with representatives changing the bylaws to allow for one year terms for national officers for this gap year.

Delta Zeta's convention this year is going to be entirely virtual, which means I'll finally be able to "attend!"

I hope that organizations continue to make some parts of convention virtual, even in the distant future. I think it could really help with member engagement.

It's an off year for Alpha Gam, but we hope to have in-person next summer.

Pi Beta Phi will be holding a virtual convention.
So for the first time as a member, I will be able to attend convention - the cost has always held me back from being able to go.

I attended our virtual, one-day Convention last summer. There were some glitchy voting issues that resulted in a long break while they got that sorted out, but it was "early times" with virtual events, and I suspect those with virtual Conventions this year will have a smoother experience. Then again, we've had technology issues with in-person voting, too, like the "Clicker Glitch" a few years ago!
And, I'm just going to say that I really hope we don't have to do that again, because it just didn't compare to being there with all my sisters! I love Convention.
I do like the idea of incorporating virtual components for those who can't attend -- great idea, ASTalumna06!

AOII convention will be virtual in late June, with the dramatic cost reduction, the collegiate chapter I work with will be having 4 collegian attendees. very psyched.

This is an off year for Alpha Phi- our 2020 convention in Dallas was cancelled and I was hoping 2022 would be held there (my area) OR in Syracuse, since it's our 150th anniversary. NOPE. Back to where the last convention was held- Phoenix.
Two in a row in the same random city. Boo hiss.

Sigma Nu's will be virtual this year. It was postponed from last year. I don't have much of a dog in the hunt anymore, but I think this is a negative. I would have preferred them to go forward with it with attendees being required to show proof of vaccination.
