Anyone is pumped up for the movie? I am!

When I was in Paris last month, I found out where the fictitious "murder" took place in Louvre and made a point of stopping into that room.

I think I'll see the movie since I've yet to slog through the book.

I can't wait for the movie. although I still can't see Tom Hanks playing Robert Langdon. I always pictured someone younger in my mind when i was reading the book.

I despise Tom Hanks, but hopefully it will be good. I loved the book, so if that stick pretty true to it, I should enjoy it.

Are you a fucking terrorist? That's like an American saying they don't like apple pie, what's wrong with you? Everyone loves Tom Hanks!

phisigduchesscv and PhiMuAmberkins I agree with you on the Tom Hanks issue...I always envisioned Robert Langdon with sex appeal (Dan Brown does mention that in the book) and Tom Hanks does not

That's great. Yep, Amber is just my "non-threatening blonde American girl next door" name. And my exceptionally English last name? A cover up! Ha! *looks around for the feds, hoping they know she's just joking*

And hey, I like apples. And I like pie. Just not together.

OK, I do kinda agree with you guys. I pictured him in the book as the dreamy Professor Jones (AKA Indiana Jones AKA Harrison Ford about 20 years ago). So who would you have picked to play Robert Langdon?

My pick would have been Clive Owen. He's really popular right now, he's old looking enough to play the part, I wonder if he could do an American accent?

The Round Templar Church in London that figures in the book is actually the chapel of my Inn of Court. If you find yourselves in London anytime soon check it out. The vicar is the Rev. Robin Griffith-Jones and he will gladly give a tour of the chapel with lots of commentary on the book.
Its easy to find. Go to where the Strand turns into Fleet Street. On the North side of the street are the Royal Courts of Justice. Diagonally across the street on the South side is the gate to Inner Temple Lane. Its open to the public so walk in and on your left you will see the Temple Church. The main door is usually closed so go to the courtyard and use the side entry. The Templar Knight's effigies are a bit spooky but the whole effect is facinating. There is another round Templar church in Cambridge but it is no longer consecrated and is used as a tourist center and a place to do brass rubbings. Interesting architecture but lacking in atmosphere. The one in London is more interesting and figures directly into the DaVinci Code
