NPC Extension Presentations

In the fall, there will be two extension presentations (possibly one more) on my campus. I was curious to know what goes on during these presentations? I just want to make sure my local interest group is prepared fully for the presentation!

Thanks.

i cannot speak for other organiztions but my sorority has a national officer whose sole purpose is to give presentations for colonization or re-colonization. and to support and monitor the new colonies and chapters. she is assisted by other national officers, traveling leadership consultants(newly graduated zetas who visit our chapters to offer fresh, new ideas, make sure things are running smoothly with the chapters, etc) and local alumnae.
they give a presentation which gives the history of the fraternity, a break down of who runs the fraternity and how it operates, our national philanthropy, what the fraternity would do to support a new colony, etc. and they might contribute to the campus. they might show a recruitment video from one of the chapters, or share some of the above mentioned information via a power point or slide show. i think that you would find the information interesting and would enjoy the presentations. keep us updated!!

I can't speak from direct experience, but we operate similarly.

The Presentations are a great way to learn more about an organization. If there are chapters that are too far in driving distance some of the girls might come to mingle and talk. If you are going back and forth between a few choices then the presentations can help you decide. When Alpha Xi Delta came to our campus last year we knew they were on our short list but after meeting the ladies from national and girls for two different chapters, we knew that was going to be our new home.

Thumbs up

LXA also has an expansion Person at our IHQ.

If I find out some where is expanding Greek Wise, I let Him know.

Many times within GC, We find out things quicker than our IHQs.

Trust me, I have given Him 5 leads in one year.

But remember, the School has to be receptive.

As GCrose34, said, Presentations are very important.

What Can My GLO do to present, stay, grow and continue to be here.

What does My GLO have that will be beneficial for Said GLO and Said Campus. Long Haul need to anly reply.

Well, from what I have seen in NC they are like an interview. You ask the National groups questions and they ask you questions. The National groups have already looked up all the info on your campus so I think it it is nice to ask about what they liked about your campus to consider to colonize.
I have been to a few and I have always enjoyed them. It is interesting to see what all the groups are all about, how they were founded, what size they are, how many alum come to the event in support, what they offer your campus, what national officers come to the event, and so on.
You should really be prepared to put your group's best foot forward b/c the national groups will be doing the same.
We have a National Officer in charge of this and she has a team that hepls.
Have fun and Good Luck!
