Swap Ideas Anyone??

Hi Zetas,
Just wondering if you had any uniquely themed swaps you wanted to share. I thought it would be interesting to see what the other chapters do.

whats swapping? i havent heard of it.. im sure we have done something- maybe by a different name though!!

Your school probably calls it "mixers", we just call it a swap. (i.e. Lambda Chi 70's Swap). We only have 3 fraternities on campus, so we don't need a ton of ideas, but I was just curious if anyone had any unique ideas for themes.

Oh!! Okay lol, now i know.. well, last semester we had a pie eating contest with the phi delts, but none of our girls wanted to eat the pie!! lol (it was crust with pudding in it, ew! haha) but all of the guys were really into it so it was funny.. im not sure what the social chair has in store for this semester.. what kind of things have you done??

We are having a cops and robbers swap with ATO, a Pajama Party (I think we might change this to going to play laser tag) with Sig Ep, and a Margaritaville Swap with Lambda Chi (we're going to go to Sam's Club and get the margarita and pina coloda mix and make virgin margaritas and etc. The pie eating contest sounds so fun! The ones I mentioned are what we have planned for this semester. I like themed stuff that you have to dress up for. Sig Ep had an 80s party last semester that was so funny. We crimped our hair and looked so funny! How big is your school?
We're small, so we only have 3 fraternities and 2 other sororities. PM so we can exchange email addresses.

those sound so much fun! our school is small.. about 5000 students. but our chapter has 26 girls. (OH and 2 girls accepted their bids

) Robert Morris University has 5 fraternities and only 2 sororites (us and the DZ's).. techincally this isnt a "mixer" but coming up on national pan-hell badge day we are going to eat dinner with the DZ's in the cafe, i think it will be fun..

We also have about 5,000 students. Right now, we have 30 girls on roll, but I would say probably 25-26 "actives" who regularly come to events and meetings etc. What kind of things do you do for Crown events??

Our Crown Party was a Princess theme and our slogan was "Everyone wants to be a Princess; Zeta can get you one step closer!" We went all out on five point crowns and the whole Disney Princess thing!! it was so cute.. last semester we had a hawaiian party complete with lei's and palm trees!! What ideas have you/any other chapters done???

Monday night we are having a Salsa dancing mixer with the SigEps. We originally were going to have ballroom dancing lessons but somehow it turned into salsa dancing! I'm so excited!

I am not exactly sure on the details! I believe we are having it in one of the gyms on campus. We originally wanted to rent out this "club" type place but decided against it. Our social person is on the dance team and so its either another girl on the dance team or the coach or something that will be teaching it. I was over at the guys house the other night and they were all pumped about it. So it should be a great time!

Well we had our exchange last night! It was awesome! I had so much fun! A lot more of their guys showed up than our girls so that was a downside. I suggest pointing out that that could happen before the exchange so that doesn't happen!! We started out learning stuff by ourselves, then we partnered up. The lady was just like everyone get a partner. For a bit there was that awkward who should I be partners with so I suggest maybe having some sort of matching up type thing. A lot of our girls will be going to their formal and a lot of them will be coming to ours so we joke about breaking out the music at formal. So, all in all it was a blast and I strongly suggest having this type of exchange!
