Recap of 2004 Grand Chapter & Leadership Conference, Columbus, Ohio
July 23-25, 2004, was a time of progress for Alpha Sigma Phi. 71 voting members, including over 50 undergraduate delegates, six past Grand Senior Presidents and two Chartered Alumni Councils were diligent in conducting the business of the Fraternity while dozens of undergraduate brothers participated in the Leadership Conference portion of the weekend.

Positions Statements approved:
1. Position Statement on Inclusiveness (supporting diversity of membership)
2. Position Statement on New Members Programs (New Member/Pledge Programs to be held to eight weeks, excluding Pinnacle Week)
3. Position Statement on Growth (reinforces our commitment to support North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) groups expansion efforts on our campuses)
4. Position Statement on CCI as our National Philanthropy (reemphasizes relationship with Canine Companions for Independence)
Necessary Constitution & Bylaws updates and changes were made with the support of the Grand Chapter body.
Fee & Due increase was approved. Details distributed to all groups before September 1. In the meantime, call Fraternity Headquarters for details.
Tom Hinkley, Indiana ’84, was celebrated as the retiring CEO of the Fraternity. Drew Thawley, Ohio Wesleyan ’94, was welcomed as the new CEO.
