Sorority Sisters

I just finished reading Sorority Sisters. I was told that the author Tajuana Butler is not a member of any sorority, but I have had some say she is AKA. Could someone enlighten me? Is she or is she not AKA?

I think we discussed this and the other black sorority book last year, but yes, the author of Sorority Sisters is a member of the greatest sisterhood ever created!
