Shanah Tovah 5774!
Happy New Year to my Jewish sisters!
I was at a truly inspiring selichot service this evening, and I will be at all of my synagogue's High Holy Days services this year. I'm in my synagogue's choir, and I'm one of the two strong altos in the choir, so I have to go - but I'd go anyway.
I'll be attending the Yizkor service for the first time, as my mother passed away earlier this year.
LML & Shanah Tovah!

Shanah Tovah! I can't believe how early it is this year. I remember reading that the next time Rosh Hashana will begin this early is in I believe 2089?

No kidding.
I was born on the day after Thanksgiving, in the morning. Hanukkah started that night. This year, Hanukkah starts on the evening of the day before Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving is my birthday.
<sidenote>My 21st birthday was on Thanksgiving Day. That ... just sucked.</sidenote>
Meh, we get a leap month this year, so everything will be late next year.
