September 19th

September 20th
Skit Night-
PNM's can only attend parties for 3 out of the 4 sororities

September 21st
Pick up pref party invitations from noon- 5:00pm
Pref Parties that same night
PNM's can only attend Prefs for two sororities

September 22nd
bid day!!!!
pick up bids at noon
MRC revealing and celebration at 10pm

ETA: there are four sororities at Columbia: Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta, and Sigma Delta Tau. Both Barnard and Columbia girls can joing either of those sororities.

That's interesting. Those are exactly the same dates that Columbia's Panhellenic has on their page -- as of Friday, August 5 '05 -- describing recruitment for 2004.

Hmmm, maybe my sources were wrong then. I'll double check and post again.

Or maybe their recruitment page just has a typo of 2004 for 2005. Thank you KLPDaisy.

NP, I'll double check to be sure though, my friend that I got this from is kind of a ditz, so it may have been the wrong information.

If you'd like definite dates, I can get them for you.

Columbia's recruitment is getting more and more competitive. Last year, there were lots of cuts in the first round--which had never been heard of before.

Since Barnard is affiliated with Columbia, do Barnard students have the opportunity to join one of the sororities at Columbia?

Yes because Barnard isn't just affiliated with Columbia, its part of it. They have seperate admissions offices, and different buildings and faculty, but everyone can take classes on the other's campus. When a woman graduates from Barnard, she gets a diploma that is from Columbia University.

There are a few chapters that have more Barnard women as members than Columbia women.
