French Bridge, work of art

B-ooh-T-full
The process they used to build it is one that's begun to be used in river-valley areas to minimize impact on the environment. The Hwy 20 completion from Iowa Falls to Cedar Falls used the process to build over the Iowa River Valley.

I saw this on the news this morning, and you couldn't pay me to drive on it. I'm sure it's sturdy and wide, but it just looks so high. If someone smashes into you, you've got nowhere to go but down. And I doubt anyone could survive that fall. I'll stick to the ground

Or the Sunshine Skyway bridge over Tampa Bay. Seems to be this is the new suspension-bridge construction method du jour.

For those of you who are wondering why this bridge doesn't have white flags waving in the wind, its because it was designed by an Englishman.
