Lavaliering

I was just wondering if anyone knew of an official "candle passing" ceremony for AXiD or want to supply what their chapters do for it if there isn't an official one. One of my sisters just got pinned and we want to do something special to share it with the entire chapter!

Thanks a lot!

For pearls AND Fraternity pins we do 1 circle... (We don't recognize pins, eventhough they come after a lavaleir)... Lavaleir = 2, Engage = 3, Married = 4

My cousin said her (alumni) chapter also does 5 circles when a women has a baby girl (the baby is held by her mother in the ceremony and the candle goes around both of them)

We had a sister to get lavaliered, and we passed a candle around once for sisterhood, then passed it again for something good happening to a sister. I think that could go for engagement or really anything good that someone wants to announce. The third time that it's passed is for a sister to announce she's pregnant.. I THINK but I'm not sure!

A lit candle goes around the circle
(1 = pin, 2 = lavalier, 3 = promise ring, 4= engagement ring)
and we sing whatever song we decide on!

After that many times, the girl the candle belongs to blows it out & tells her story of how she got the pin/lavalier/ring (up until then, nobody knows whose it is except the Ritual Chair, who sets up the candlepass!)
