FSU chapter update.

They are about a 90 man chapter now.

Also, I hear they are getting out of their old house and taking over the
Phi Sigma Kappa house. This is the best pic I could find.

If you have a camera phone it would be very cool of you if you could snap a pic once they get the SIGMA NU up

Ok, I took this on my way from pre-recruitment on my crappy camera phone, sorry about the quality. I don't know if you can see it, but they have Phi 'Sigma Nu' up there...except "Nu" is written on a piece of white paper . I also drove by the old Sigma Nu house and it says in huge red letters "Phi Sig Compound".

Good pic! It kind of shows how deep the house goes. I also love the street-couch. You can get some good people watching/drinking done there

Anywho, I was thinking it would be hilarious if Sigma Nu was charging them to lease their old shack.

It's unfortunate for Phi Sig, because according to the Leon County Property Appraiser website, Phi Sig's old house was sold for $1,000,000 in July, and had a market value of $382,197 as of 2007. It was originally built in 1932. The current owner is a newly created LLC with Sigma Nu HQ as the address. The old owner was the Phi Sig alumni association and they sold it out from under the actives.

The former Sigma Nu house is still owned by the Zeta Zeta chapter house corp and is being rented to Phi Sig. I'm not sure how much they're paying, but the market value was only $151,014 as of 2007. It was originally built in 1906. They are probably gauging Phi Sig.

That's unbelievable. This house looks 10 times more beautiful than anything in San Jose and our Zeta Iota Chapter house is worth at LEAST 1.5 million. Real estate prices are always insane in California

Update! They have their letters up now. I talked to one of the guys earlier and he said they are almost finished cleaning up the inside of the house.

Sorry it's not straight, I accidentally moved my phone while it was taking. When I was leaving happy hour, they were painting 'Rush Sigma Nu' on the black part of the sidewalk in yellow letters. And the couch is gone!

The letters are a bit big for my tastes, but overall it looks AWESOME!!!
Is the location pretty good? Meaning, a lot of foot traffic/car traffic freshmen males will see it?

It's located right in the heart of all the sorority houses right down the street from Potbelly's and Painted Lady, 2 really popular bars. The Westcott Fountain is right on the other side of their house, so needless to say they are in a pretty prime spot.

If you get any rush numbers please post. I'm very curious to see how they do this fall.

I think the house looks amazing. Those are awesome looking letters - the font style of this is great!. I'd love to see a nice badge on the second floor between the windows and some large white shutters to border all the windows. Shutters would really dress up the front of the house.

Can you post result from the fall? How many active members returned? How many pledges did you take? What is the capacity of the house and how many are currently living-in?
