Daytona 500
Is anyone watching the Daytona 500 on Sunday the 18th?
What about the Shootout next Saturday?
Also who do you want to win the 500 and who do you think will win?
I want Jeff Gordon to win his 4th, but I think either Tony, or Jimmy will win it.

Yes. Its almost time. Shootout coming up, and the Duels next week. I'm of course for Junior, but Tony would be alright as well. I'm absolutely ready for NASCAR and MLB season.

I want to go to Bristol too. That's one of my favorite tracks, I'm going to both Michigan races this year. I really want to see Jeff win champ #5 this year.

What do you think about Junior leaving DEI? It hasn't been confirmed yet, but his contract is up after this year, and he and Teresa don't really get along. She made some terrible comments about him. I think she sucks as a team owner.

It might happen. Junior has always said that at some point he wants to drive the 3, (which would mean going to Childress) so I think thats possible. I used to really like DEI, but now I wouldn't really mind as much. I think a lot will depend on this year. It seemed the cars were better last year, so if DEI has a great year and Junior is as competitive as he was 3 years ago, I think he might stay. However, if its more like 2005, I imagine he'd obviously consider making the jump.

If he jumps over to RCR, and he brings the 3 back, Junior is going to be even more popular than he is now. I wouldn't mind seeing that, but of course Bud would go with him so the car would be red, unless they did a special paint scheme.
I also think that if Earnhardt were still alive and he was running the company, I think Junior would have one a championship by now. Maybe two.

I don't think Teresa will "let" Jr. leave DEI. I would have to think she is smart enough to realize that without Jr., there would be no DEI competition wise running. Jr. is the bread-winner for that company and she would be stupid to let Jr. get away. With that said though, Childress has publically said that if Jr. wants to leave DEI he hopes that Jr. will look at RCR first. Harvick called Teresa a "deadbeat owner" back in January because she hardly ever shows up at races. Jr. sucked it up and defended her though saying she has a lot going on, not just Nascar.

Ditto on all accounts - and I don't think the 3 in red would be so bad
Of course, we ALL know that ORANGE is the winning color
Hockey, NASCAR, and Baseball - the only three sports I need in life

I liked the tribute cars DEI did last year with the black paint scheme. The Bud Car didn't look so bad in black.

I like the black 8, I liked the born on date 8 too. I think if he switches Bud would be willing to go obviously, but I think Junior is interested in racing a black 3, so we'll see.
