I also can say "been there done that got the t-shirt"!
Every single greek organization has problems, no matter how pretty it might look on the outside. If you ever showed me an org where no one ever complained or was unhappy, I would run screaming from it - that's an org that is just a business, not a true family of brothers or sisters that care about each other. Believe me when I say I've wished there were times I didn't give a crap - it would be easier. But we wouldn't be upset if we didn't care.
Coffeemug gave very good advice. I'll add a few things:
Try to do "fun" things - not just the things that are programmed and mandatory. If everyone is stressed and you need to cut back on your calendar for a while it might help. Especially if you have a small chapter - there are times when everyone is having a semester from hell. Bring this up at a meeting.
I know what it's like to live in the house and feel like you are in the eye of the hurricane. Find a place where you can disappear and de-stress (for me, it was a friend's house off-campus). When you feel like you're going to scream, get out of the house for couple hours till you feel more relaxed. If you stay there and try to solve every crisis and problem it will drive you nuts.
If there have been feelings of competition or rivalry with the other sororities - forget about them. Just be the best Alpha Kappa Chi you all know how to be. That is something no one else can do. The only sorority you have to be better than is the one you were yesterday. Good luck & keep us up to date!
